What Is the Gundam Card Game?
The Gundam Card Game (GCG) is an official global trading card game published by Bandai Namco, based on the iconic Mobile Suit Gundam anime franchise that has been running since 1979. The game launched simultaneously in English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese — a deliberate worldwide release that set it apart from many other TCGs.
Players build 50-card decks using four card types:
- Units — the mobile suits that fight on the battlefield
- Pilots — attached to Units to boost stats and trigger special Link abilities
- Commands — single-use action cards that create momentum swings
- Bases — durable cards that absorb damage and provide ongoing effects
The objective is to destroy all six of your opponent’s shields and land a final base attack. One of the game’s signature mechanics is the Mecha Link system — pair an iconic pilot with their designated mobile suit (Amuro Ray in the RX-78-2, Heero Yuy in Wing Zero, etc.) and you unlock series-accurate bonus effects that reward franchise knowledge.
The game also supports 1v1 competitive play, 2v2 co-op, and team battle royale formats.

Near-100% Value Coverage
This is the part that makes HoloHoard useful beyond a simple checklist. We’ve built value coverage for the Gundam Card Game by scanning secondary markets, and we’re sitting at close to 100% of cards having a tracked market price. That means:
- Browse any set and see card values inline — you don’t need to open a card to check what it’s worth
- Your dashboard shows the total estimated value of everything you own across the game
- Every collection and list you build has a live value attached to it

Whether you’re tracking a full master set, a playset for competitive, or just the cards you’ve pulled — the value moves with the market and stays visible wherever you are in the app.
Getting Started on HoloHoard
If you’re new to the Gundam Card Game or just new to HoloHoard, here’s how to use it:
To build a collection: Head to the Gundam Card Game page, pick a set, and start marking cards as owned. Your collection value updates as you add cards.
To track a deck: Use the deck builder to create lists from any combination of the 1,314 cards in the catalog. Deck value is calculated automatically.
To check prices while browsing: Values are shown inline as you browse sets as well as individual cards.
Why It Matters That the Full Catalog Is Here
The Gundam Card Game is one of the fastest-growing TCGs launched in recent years. Having the complete catalog — including all promos and starter deck exclusives — means collectors and competitive players can track everything in one place without gaps. The near-100% value coverage is particularly useful for the Gundam TCG community, where secondary market prices for rarer pulls from GD01 and GD02 have moved significantly since launch.
If you’ve been waiting for full support before committing to HoloHoard for your Gundam collection, this is it.
