Cardsmiths Currency Series 6 Preorders Are Live: America250 Collaboration, Full Set Details & Pricing

Cardsmiths Currency Series 6 preorders are now live on the official Cardsmiths website, noting availability date 31 July 2026. After an eBay listing briefly surfaced and was taken down, the set is now officially confirmed and available to order.

Here’s everything we know.

The America250 Collaboration

Currency Series 6 is a collaboration with the United States Semiquincentennial Commission, marking the America250 Anniversary. It’s the first time the Currency line has partnered with an official government body, and the theme reflects that — the set focuses on the money, markets, and cultural forces that shaped the U.S.

For a franchise that started with broad economic history and has since covered everything from s**tcoins to Austrian economics, an American-focused institutional partnership is a notable direction.

120+ Card Designs

The official description confirms more than 120 total trading card designs. Here’s how that fits into the growth of the Currency line:

SeriesTotal Base CardsStandardShort Prints
Series 162602
Series 264604
Series 3706010
Series 4807010
Series 513512015
Series 6120+ (confirmed)TBCTBC

The exact breakdown between standard base cards and short prints hasn’t been disclosed yet. Series 5 was the first to exceed 100 cards, and Series 6 appears to maintain that expanded scale. Don’t forget that when considering the extensive variant and gem list, Series 5 had more then 3,500 unique designs – it remains to be seen what that number will be for Series 6.

Artist Lineup

Mr Brainwash, Jon McTavish, Rachid Lotf, and Thomas Zahler all return for Series 6. Mr Brainwash made his Currency debut in Series 5 — his return for a second consecutive series suggests a more permanent creative role. Jon McTavish and Thomas Zahler have been part of the Currency lineup across multiple earlier sets.

Full Subset and Insert Breakdown

The confirmed set contents for Currency Series 6:

  • Collector Cards — the base set
  • Collector Parallel Rainbow Holofoil Cards
  • Collector Parallel Matrix Holofoil Cards (Mega Box Exclusive)
  • Collector Card Parallel
  • Serial-Numbered Gemstone Refractor Cards
  • Meta-Rare Refractor Cards
  • Cryptocurrency Redemption Cards
  • Cold Foil Cards
  • Double-Sided Holofoil Banknote Cards
  • Short-Packed Alternate Art Cards
  • One of Twenty-One Cards

Most of these are returning formats from Series 5. The Matrix Holofoil parallel is listed as a Mega Box Exclusive — and we know from past releases that Crystal Sparkle foil will be a Collector Box Exclusive. Here is how they look like:

No mention of Cryptoids in the official description (which is typical), but we expect them to make an appearance. They’ve been part of Currency since Series 3 and were a major component of Series 5 with eight new entries. Whether they actually return in Series 6 or have been retired remains to be seen.

Crypto Redemptions

Cryptocurrency Redemption Cards are back. They’re randomly inserted in select packs and redeemable for varying amounts of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dogecoin. The official description confirms multiple 1 Bitcoin hits across the print run, along with 1 ETH pulls. Series 5 featured what Cardsmiths called their largest-ever crypto redemption offering — it will be interesting to see how Series 6 compares once pull odds are published.

Limited-Edition Numbered Packaging

For the first time in Currency history, select Mega Boxes will feature limited-edition collector’s packaging, individually serial-numbered out of 1,776 — a direct nod to U.S. independence. Previous Currency sets have serialised cards, but never the boxes themselves – we saw this recently being done by Bitcoin Trading Cards for their “Simulation” series, but not done before by Cardsmiths. These specialty variants are randomly packed, so there’s no way to target them at purchase.

Box Configuration and Pricing

Series 6 follows the same Collector Box / Mega Box structure as Series 5. Here’s the full pricing breakdown:

ProductContentsPrice
Collector Box2 packs of 5 cards (10 cards)$36.99
Collector Box Inner Carton12 Collector Boxes$419.99
Collector Box Master Case48 Collector Boxes$1,649.99
Mega Box8 packs of 5 cards (40 cards)$109.99
Mega Box Inner Carton6 Mega Boxes$639.99
Mega Box Master Case24 Mega Boxes$2,499.99

Pricing is essentially flat compared to Series 5 ($36.99 Collector Box, $109.99 Mega Box, $2,499.99 Mega Box Master Case). The Collector Box Master Case is slightly higher at $1,649.99 vs $1,649.99 for Series 5 — effectively unchanged.

Free Gift for Early Master Case Orders

The first 210 Master Case orders include a free Currency Series 6 1880 $5 Double-Sided Holofoil Banknote Trading Card. Given the America250 theme, an 1880-era banknote card is a fitting promotional piece, and limiting it to 210 units makes it a genuine chase item for collectors down the line.
