A First-of-Its-Kind Retailer Exclusive for Cardsmiths
Cardsmiths has quietly expanded its Currency Series 5 lineup with a GameStop-exclusive Mega Box, marking the first time the brand has released a product that is both geographically and retailer restricted.
Available only through GameStop stores and its online platform, this release introduces a new layer of exclusivity to the Currency ecosystem.
At launch, details were limited. But as boxes began to be opened, a clearer picture has started to emerge.
The Buck the Bunny Subset: From Mystery Insert to Real Chase
The defining feature of this Mega Box is the Buck the Bunny mini-subset, seeded at a stated rate of 1 in 24 boxes.
Confirmed Designs (So Far)
The subset has expanded beyond the initial three cards. Current known entries include:
- GSP-1 – Super Buck
- GSP-3 – Bitcoin Buck
- GSP-6 – Card Surfing Buck
- GSP-7 – Collector Buck
- GSP-TBC – Unnamed “space-themed” design (previewed on GameStop site)
At the time of this update:
- 4 designs have been physically pulled and confirmed
- 1 additional design is visually confirmed but not yet pulled
More importantly, the numbering pattern (1, 3, 6, 7…) clearly indicates missing slots, strongly suggesting:
The full subset will likely consist of at least 7 total designs, and possibly more.

Variants, Parallels & Serialisation: Now Confirmed
One of the biggest unknowns at launch was whether the Buck the Bunny cards would follow the standard Currency rarity system.
What Has Been Confirmed
From early pulls:
- Gold variants have been pulled
- Ruby variants have been pulled
Additionally:
- A reported Onyx pull has surfaced within the collector community (with photo evidence, though not officially confirmed by Cardsmiths)
What This Means
This is a critical shift in understanding:
- The subset is not base-only
- It likely follows the a sub-set of the Gemstone parallel structure of the main set
Tracking Buck the Bunny on HoloHoard
All Buck the Bunny cards from the GameStop Mega Box are live in the HoloHoard app, allowing collectors to:
- Track ownership
- Add notes and acquisition prices
- Monitor future variant confirmations
As more designs, parallels, or serialised versions are officially confirmed, HoloHoard will update the checklist accordingly so collectors can keep their Series 5 collections accurate and complete.
